Description

Lactanase injectable is an injectable supplement design to support optimal energy release and muscle function in performance horses. It is widely used to enhance endurance and delay muscle fatigue during intense physical activity.

Composition of lactanase injectable

Dichloroacetic Acid (DCA): 120 µg/mL
Sodium Gluconate: 250 mg/mL

Mechanism of Action:

DCA activates the enzyme pyruvate dehydrogenase, which plays a central role in lactic acid production during strenuous exercise. By stimulating this enzyme, Lactanase reduces the rate of lactic acid accumulation in muscles, thereby delaying the onset of muscle fatigue and enhancing performance.

Indications:

Lactanase is indicated for performance horses to:

Reduce lactic acid buildup during intense exercise.
Delay muscle fatigue, thereby enhancing endurance.
Assist in the prevention of exertional rhabdomyolysis (“tying up”).

Dosage and Administration:

Intravenous Injection: Administer 20–40 mL once weekly for 4 weeks. It is recommend to dilute the dose in 1 liter of saline or administer via a catheter. After completing a 4-week course, discontinue use for 4 weeks before considering another course.

Precautions:

Ensure strict intravenous administration, as Lactanase is highly irritant if administered outside the vein.
Avoid accidental contact with mucous membranes or eyes.
Store below 25°C and protect from light.

Available in 100 mL sterile multi-dose glass vials.
