- Gentamicin: 100 mg
- Tylosin: 50 mg
Genta Tylo Injection is a broad-spectrum antibiotic solution combining gentamicin and tylosin. This dual-action formula provides potent antibacterial properties effective against a wide range of gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, addressing infections swiftly and helping animals return to optimal health.
- Gentamicin: An aminoglycoside antibiotic effective primarily against gram-negative bacteria, inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis, resulting in bacterial cell death.
- Tylosin: A macrolide antibiotic with strong action against gram-positive bacteria and mycoplasma species, targeting protein synthesis and helping reduce respiratory and other infections.
Indications of Genta Tylo Injection 100ml :
Genta Tylo Injection is indicated for use in:
- Cattle for the treatment of respiratory infections, foot rot, metritis, and other bacterial infections.
- Pigs for bacterial infections such as those affecting the respiratory and urogenital systems.
- Sheep and Goats for respiratory tract infections, joint infections, and wound infections due to susceptible organisms.
Dosage and Administration:
- Administer intramuscularly (IM) or intravenously (IV), depending on the veterinarian’s direction.
- Cattle: 1 mL per 10 kg body weight every 24 hours for 3-5 days, as recommended by a veterinarian.
- Pigs, Sheep, and Goats: Follow dosage as directed by a veterinarian based on body weight and specific needs.
Contraindications:
- Do not use in animals with known hypersensitivity to gentamicin, tylosin, or other aminoglycosides.
- Avoid use in animals intended for breeding purposes.
Warnings:
- Avoid exceeding the recommended dose and injection volume per site to prevent tissue irritation.
- Use under veterinary supervision, especially for prolonged treatments.
Withdrawal Periods:
- Meat: Animals should not be slaughtered for meat within 30 days of the last treatment.
